Ivesiade - Little Island

Call Time for Captains and DMs: 4:30pm SHARP

Call Location for Captains and DMs: Little Island - Top of the Amphitheater

Call Time for Band: 5:30pm

Call Location for Band: Little Island HQ - 872 Washington Street (between 13th and 14th Street)

Truck Duty: All Hands on Deck

This is a paid gig!

SCHEDULE:
  • 4:30pm – Captains and DMs arrive at Little Island Amphitheater for walkthrough of performance space
  • 5:30pm – Truck and Band arrive at Little Island HQ
  • 6:00pm – Warm up, tune, play through at Little Island HQ
  • 6:45pm – Band walks to Little Island holding area
  • 7:30pm – House opens
  • 8:00pm – Performance begins

Call Time for Captains and Drum Majors:
  • 4:30pm SHARP for walk through of the performance space

Call Location for Captains and Drum Majors:
  • Little Island – Hudson River Park between 13th and 14th Streets
  • Follow signs to the Amphitheater

Call Time for Band:
  • 5:30pm

Call Location for Band:
  • Little Island – HQ
  • 872 Washington Street (between 13th and 14th Street) – 3rd floor
  • Entrance to HQ is a door to the south of the Diane von Furstenburg store. (See photo below)
 

By Subway or LIRR:

  • Take the A, C, E, 2 or 3 Train to 14th St
  • Walk west to Little Island HQ
  • Be sure to check the MTA website for service changes and the MTA Live Map before you leave home!

  • If you are missing anything, please print it from Chorus Connection or contact Marita ASAP! We will not have music at the call location!

More About the Music:

  • Put your music into a flip-folder (and don’t forget to bring a lyre)
  • Make sure you have a new QBAC logo placard in front of the pieces.

STAGING

  • Below are maps of our entrances/exits for High School Cadet, and placement for Here’s to Good Ol’ Yale, and Liberty Bell
  • Little Island stage management crew will be with us to cue drum majors and captains


Top of Show

  • We will be in a holding location on Little Island starting at 7:15
  • Drumline, Saxophones, Color Guard will be escorted to their holding area below the audience
  • While the choir is singing the first number at the top of the show, clarinets and flutes will quietly move to holding location at the top of the amph

Song 1: High School Cadets

  • After exiting, stage management will escort Drumline, Saxophones, Color Guard, Flutes, and Clarinets to next location


Song 2: Here’s to Good Ol’ Yale


Song 3: Liberty Bell

  • Stage management will cue us to move quietly into location around the top of the amph
  • Play through once in this location
  • Drumline cadence starts at end of the first time through
  • Band moves into formation to march out
  • Band plays Liberty Bell second time through while marching down path and off the island
  • There are restrooms at Little Island HQ

  • Stage Management will guide us to restrooms on Little Island

Little Island is a public park, and does not allow single-use plastic water bottles on premises. Please bring a reusable water bottle.
