How To Do

NYC Marathon

Date: Sunday, November 2

Call Time: 11:00 am if you are using a band-owned instrument; 11:30am everyone else.

Call Location: On the East side of First Ave. between E. 110th St. and E. 111th St.

Truck Duty: No truck! We play around the corner from our storage space.

REMEMBER TO SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK ON SATURDAY NIGHT/SUNDAY MORNING

Call Time:

  • 11:30am
  • If you are using a band-owned instrument or need equipment from our storage unit, Caroline, Jason, and Jared will be there at 11am to open it up. Please meet at Manhattan Mini Storage (GPS: 401 E 110th St) to pick up what you need.

Call Location:

  • On the East side of First Ave. between E. 110th St. and E. 111th St.
  • IMPORTANT: Please be mindful of the runners as you cross First Ave
  • This performance location is around the corner from our band storage space—which has our stuff and bathrooms!
  • GPS: 401 E 110th St


Schedule:

  • We will start playing when we’re ready, around noon/12:30
  • We will play until our last band member runs by – probably around 3:30pm
  • Take breaks as needed!

Subway:

  • 2/3 trains to E. 110th St-Malcom X Blvd and walk East (buses will likely not be running)
  • 6 train to 110th St. Uptown 6 trains will be running express this weekend to E. 125th St. and not stopping at 110th Street. Transfer at 125th St to a Downtown 6 or walk from 125th.
  • Q train to 96th St and walk North
  • Be sure to check the MTA website for service changes and the MTA Live Map before you leave home!


By Car

    • Due to street closures for the race course, we strongly urge anyone driving to park south of 42nd Street and take the subway to our call location!

Uniform (Everyone)

  • It will be a chilly morning and afternoon! 2025 QBAC Marching Band t-shirt, band jacket, or black jacket/hoodie/sweater if it’s cold. Anything goes for footwear and pants! 

  • We will have 2025 Marathon Hats at the performance to wear.

Guard Members

  • This performance is pompoms only due to the narrow sidewalks

  • You are welcome to participate, and we’d love to have you all with us, but attendance is optional due to these limitations.

  • Put your music into a flip-folder (and don’t forget to bring a lyre)
  • Make sure you have a new QBAC logo placard in front of the pieces in the Marching Set
